And he's back!

After two and a half weeks, I've got internet again!  In that time . . .

I moved.  To the awesome new place.  It's better than we expected - the high school across the street really isn't a bother, and the weather has been nicer than we expected (including several VERY hot days).  We hardly ever run the heat because the house retains heat extremely well, and there are windows everywhere to let in the sunlight.  Our utility usage may actually be lower, even though the apartment is more than twice as big as our old place.  We're mostly unpacked and it's already starting to feel like home.  It's wonderful having a garage; no more circling the block at midnight, desparately trying to find a spot and worrying about street cleaning!

This past weekend I went to the Civil War reenactment at Roaring Camp near Santa Cruz.  It filled the entire three-day weekend and I had a great time.  One highlight: my sister Sarah took to the field for the first time!  She loved it.  I've been doing this for so long, it was fun to see someone else doing it for the first time.  And yes, I took lots of pictures.  Yes, they will be online.  "Soon."

Another highlight: It was Nathan's first reenactment.  He spent a lot of time looking around trying to figure out what was going on.  He also had his first train ride, and loved it.  Spent the entire time laughing . . . and then fell asleep.

And today, I finally got my internet back!  Now I have two and a half weeks worth of email to catch up on, plus bills, etc.  And now that I've passed the bar my job hunting will kick into high gear.  Things are about to get busy again.
