And we're back

. . . from the wedding of Aaron & Julia.  It was a beautiful wedding in Bonny Doon.  I was the official photographer and yes, I will get the pictures online as soon as possible.

It was great to see Aaron & Julia get married, it was great to see all my friends again, it was great to be out of the house after a month of mono, and it was great to be in Bonny Doon again.

It was also great to see Obama take the lead in the electoral college again.  In addition, here's a crowd chanting "Obama '08" . . . to McCain.

On the way home, Yelena & I had another adventure: we got a flat tire.  In Bonny Doon.  And I discovered that the mechanics had tightened one of the lug nuts too tight; even by standing on the tire iron I wasn't able to make it move.  I eventually got the tire off and replaced it (in under half an hour), and we drove (carefully) to the Santa Cruz Costco (we got our previous tires at Costco too).  Turns out the tires were still on warranty and they were able to make a simple repair.  For free.  In less than an hour.  So that was awesome.

Even more awesome: I finally got my unemployment checks today.  <Breathes big sigh of relief>
