Censorship

Well, not really. But I realized today that I really shouldn't talk about work. I am an employee of the San Mateo District Attorney (albeit an unpaid one) and therefore I am a public representative of the office. I wouldn't want to inadvertantly say something and have anyone think that I was actually representing office policy.

Let me be clear: this is a personal blog. When I write here, I am not representing the office.

I'm going to password-protect all my old posts that mention the DA. If you are a personal friend or family member, you are welcome to view my musings. But they were never meant for the general public, and it was a mistake for me to ever have them up here.  Ask me and I'll send you the magical password.
Really this whole thing frustrates me because I like to wear my heart on my sleeve. This is supposed to be a "public diary" and the DA is a big part of my life. But, working for the DA means taking on certain responsibilities, and one of those responsibilities is that I not misrepresent the office. So, some entries get locked.

I should also emphasize that no one told me to censor myself. This was my idea, and I'm only doing it for the sake of propriety.

P.S.: Two days in a row and I can't share my printer on linux. I'm quickly growing unimpressed with Ubuntu.
