Feeling the heat

Just a couple years ago I read an interview with Bill Gates.  The interviewer asked him if he felt threatened by the fact that the number of Linux users grows by like 2000% every year.  He sneered and said "2000% of 100 users is still an infantesimal amount."  He basically said that Windows is still the giant and no, he's not concerned about the growth of Linux.

Apparently that's changed.  Microsoft now feels the desire to run advertising claiming that Windows Server is better than Linux.  Maybe this is partly because many large server companies (like, say, IBM, Dell, and Sun) now rely on Linux.  Bill Gates may have been snide about Linux just a couple years ago, but I guess his company ain't as confident any more.

Check it out.
