I become a lawyer

One more thing I need to do: take the Attorney's Oath. I mulled various options
but I'm going with the "official" ceremony in Oakland. Hillariously, it's at
the Oakland Convention Center, where I took the exam twice (passed the second
time). Here are the details:

June 2, 2009 - 10:30 am
Oakland Convention Center
1001 Broadway
Oakland, CA

I considered having the oath administered by my mother in law, who's a notary public.  We're visiting the family in SD in a couple weeks and could have had a nice little private family ceremony.  But if I go to the public ceremony in Oakland, they'll also have the form to get admitted to the federal bar as well.  If I do it on my own, it's a lot more paperwork and will take a lot longer.  And it will be to my advantage in my job search if I can tell employers "Yes I am licensed to practice law."

Anyone who wants to come and go "woohoo," I'd be thrilled to see you there.
