I'm that guy now

I'm the guy at Costco who buys the giant boxes of diapers, baby wipes, and formula.  All at once.  (I did also get myself a case of beer, but don't think that wasn't also related.  Paul Simon was right: "You are the burden of my generation.  I sure do love you, but let's get that straight.")

Yelena got of work early and came with me to the store, thank God.  Nathan refused to eat at home so I had to feed him in the middle of the shopping trip, and I had to get items from all over the warehouse.  I can't imagine doing it without Yelena there.  (Well I can, but it ends in tears.)  I also saw what is quite possibly the yuppiest thing I've ever actually seen in my entire life: a blonde woman in a spandex yoga outfit, shopping with her son . . . and a Latina nanny pushing the shopping cart.

That's right, she had "the help" pushing the shopping cart.

Me: "Once I get home, the nanny is off duty.  If I need to take the kid with me to the store, I do it myself."
Yelena: "If you're going to keep paying the nanny, why not pay her to keep the kid at home while you go shopping???"
Me: "Yeah . . . but then who's going to push the cart?"

Also, I heard Nathan laugh for the first time today.
