Knight's Ferry 2010

As promised, here are the photos from KF.  Credit to Camp Mom Judy for actually taking the shots.  It's nice to be in some, for a change.

This was from the final battle, which was intense.  We knew the Confederates would put their marines on the rocks by the river, so Capt. Ericson was selected to lead a small six-man squad around under the bridge to attack the marines from behind.  That left me in command of the remaining half of the unit.  Colonel Bispo sent me into the middle of the Union line, with the 20th Maine on my left flank and another unit on my right.  I ended up with a half strength company, facing down two cannons and a very large company of confederates.  It was a tough fight, but eventually I made a coordinated advance with the right and left flanks and together we cleared the entire field.  We ended up capturing both cannons and the enemy colors.
