Quicksilver for Windoze

If you use a newer Mac then you know about Quicksilver.  With Quicksilver, all you have to do is start typing the name of an application and it launches.  You can also use it to launch web browser bookmarks or even individual songs on your computer.

As usual, this beautiful, slick, and incredibly useful feature is only available on Mac OS.  And, as usual, it has already been copied on Linux, as Katapult.  (For KDE; there's a Gnome version available too, but why would you use Gnome?)

And, as usual, Windoze lags behind.  There is a dumb younger brother version available for Windoze called "Launchy."  Typically, it is less beautiful, less slick, and less useful.  But, it's open source, and it shows promise.  And, it duplicates an incredibly useful feature.  Once you get used to this thing, there's no going back.  (I say that like it's a good thing.)
