Solid Food
Two big events for Nathan today! He got his high chair, and he ate solid food:

He loves the high chair. It's a fancy Fisher Price model; I was raised on Fisher Price and so will he. (So will he be? Gah, future passive voice!) This one has a machine-washable cover, a dishwasher-safe tray, and an extra toy that he can play with while Daddy prepares the next meal. The toy is the most sophisticated, interactive thing he's had yet, but he took to it like a fish to water:
Notice that he has to rotate the giraffe head in order to get it to make animal noises. He's all over that action.
After a nap, we fed him solid food for the first time in his life. We started with rice cereal, heavily watered down with formula (no more Mommie's milk, sorry Bean!). I'd been warned that it tastes like watered down cardboard, but it actually tasted pretty good. Nathan enjoyed it too:
We're going to give him a little rice cereal every day, and in a week we'll introduce the next solid food: oatmeal!
Remember how he learned to roll over two weeks ago? Well it was very exciting, until he realized that he didn't know how to roll back. For two weeks, he's been rolling onto his tummy and then crying about it. Well, he finally learned how to roll back again. Thank God.
Oh yeah - and new photos:
