You're really reading this!

My web stats page tells me 668 unique visitors have visited my site this month. Not counting search engines or other bots. 85% of these people have bookmarked me. Most of these people use Windows with Internet Explorer; they obviously haven't been reading my rants against the Evil Empire. I've also been linked to by other sites, including one site that quoted one of my movie reviews:
Movie Star Blog: Movie Reviews: Butterfly Effect

25% of the people who found my site through a search engine were really looking for a Windows version of GKrellM (I'm now the official host for this awesome software).

I feel loved! I've cleaned up the nav bar on the right and added a link to my Amazon.com wish list. I'm also adding more photos and cleaning up some older galleries that stopped working. I'll also be doing more software upgrades in the near future which will be guaranteed to thrill and excite. (That's why you come here, right? Thrills and excitement?)

What's new?  Went to the last reenactment of the year this weekend, in Fresno.  It's supposed to be the largest reenactment on the West Coast, but the numbers were a lot smaller than I remember.  There were huge crowds, though.  Even though it wasn't the biggest or best reenactment, it was still awesome.  I haven't been to the Fresno reenactment for easily ten years, because for some reason they always schedule it on the same weekend as Rosh Hashannah or Yom Kippur.  Every year.  Except this year.  I also got to test out my brand new dog tent.  The verdict: the tent is awesome, but I was very, very cold.  I'll have to do things differently next time (warmer pajamas, extra blankets, etc.).  I also picked up a couple wooden storage boxes, which are great.  I was able to hide all my farb and keep my tent open.  Even better living history impression!

My unit also did a living history presentation: we had a "company brawl" with another unit, also from New York.  The premise was that one of their men called one of our men a "potato digger" because we're Irish.  They started fighting, and the rest of us joined in.  Apparently it was so realistic someone called the cops on us.  Awesome.

I also had another trial yesterday.  It's too depressing to write about (plus there are confidentiality laws).  If you want to know what happened, ask me.
