What's New

My sister Amy is back in town on spring break from her PhD program on the East Coast.  Hooray!  Yesterday Amy & I went up to visit my baby sister Sarah at Davis.  That's right, my baby sister is a senior in college.  No, I don't want to talk about it.  Yelena & Nathan came along so it was a real party.

Sarah is living in a religious compound.  It's actually an interfaith community created by a Christian association to bring different religions together for peaceful coexistence and dialogue.  It's a brand new set of buildings, beautifully appointed and landscaped.  But I like to call it The Compound.  Turns Sarah's housemate is Hannah, a friend from our old temple in Santa Cruz.  I hadn't seen Hannah since she was 10 years old and now she's a college freshman.  My how time flies.

Anyway we had a great time and then went back to my mom's for dinner and a game of Stone Age.  Stone Age is like Settlers of Catan, but arguably better.  Haven't heard of Settlers of Catan?  Oh, you're missing out.  You can buy both games at Amazon.

Meanwhile I'm finally working on Aaron & Julia's wedding photos.  By request of the bride, the photos are still not online.  Hopefully they will be soon.  I am going to post a tutorial on color correction for portraits, because I think I've developed a superior technique to anything I've seen to date.

Oh, and the baby's still doing fine!
