New Site

I've created a new website that's worth bragging about.  It's the website for the Marriage Equality Defense Fund: http://www.camarriage4all.com

Here's a picture of the old site:

Here's a picture of what it looks like now:

The real beauty lies underneath.  The new site is an amalgam of advanced content management features:

  • Integrated paypal, youtube & flickr
  • Built-in blog
  • Content presented in pages, stories, books, polls, views, panels, and blocks
  • Redirect code so I can switch from the old site to the new with the flip of a switch
  • Allows anonymous interaction through polls and comments moderated by industrial-strength anti-spam and captcha system
  • Custom CSS theme

Here's an overlay showing how all these pieces fit together:

In any art form, one goal is always to do something difficult but make it look easy.  In this case, I've herded these different types of content into a coherent whole so the end user won't notice the difference. This is by far the most sophisticated site I've ever done and
includes several advanced features I've never used before, especially
Views.

I just make it look easy.  ;-)
