Background for those who don't really know Jordan that well: My best friend, Aaron, is supposed to get his bar results today. But the server is overloaded (big surprise). We'll keep trying (I have it on a constant ping) and I'll let you know when we find out.

"They look like crippled computers."
I've been saying for years that the quality of gaming on a computer is better than on a console. Not only is it way cheaper (you already have a PC), and there is way more variety (how many RTS games are there for a console?), but the graphics are better. Always have been, always will be.
Turns out it's not just my opinion. This guy makes essentially the same points, but in a very thorough fashion. Long but entertaining read. He also seems more pissed off by the whole thing than I am.

Thumbs up!
This is a typical free open-source Linux game: simple graphics, fantastic gameplay. This is what computer games used to be, before they started relying on graphics instead of gameplay.

Movie Reviews: Borat & The Libertine
Borat: Thumbs Up
Yes, it was childish and uneccessarily gross. Yes, it did falsly portray Khazakstan as a land of poor idiots and anti-Semites (it was filmed in Romania). But after the setup, it turned into a brilliant critique of American society.
