It's Back
One of my all-time favorite pasttimes as a kid: Oregon Trail. It was actually produced by the Government of Minnesota. My friends and I played it over and over.
So imagine my excitement when I found it online. All you need are the "disks" and an Apple IIe emulator. Here they are (look near the bottom of the page).

Brit Milah
Nathan became a Jew today. We hired Rabbi Shriebman to officiate. We first met him at High Holiday services and were very impressed. He's Reconstructionist, so his views on Judaism are slightly different from mine, but I find his approach to be very refreshing and modern. He finds ways of making you really feel the spirit of every part of the service. He recommended a mohel, Dr.

Welcome Home Baby

Baby came home from the hospital today. Today was hectic for another reason . . . ask me if you're curious. Anyway we got back to the hospital at 8:30 pm to discharge the little guy, and an hour later we were on our way home. Baby ate and went to sleep. It was a big new experience for him, seeing the outside world, but he handled it very well. It was little overwhelming for Mommy and Daddy too, but we're all doing great.

Carrot Pudding
Another truth: few things are as good at cleaning an apartment as a new baby. I had to clear off the top of my dresser to make room for a changing pad, which means all the old paper on top of my dresser needs to be actually dealt with. Including the family recipe for carrot pudding. This isn't like the modern jell-o pudding you're used to; think more like traditional British bread pudding. It's almost like cake.
