My sister recently asked me how to buy a set of wine glasses that would actually make the wine taste better.  I thought other people might benefit from this advice as well, so here you go.  If you don't care about the history and the science, then skip down to "What to Buy."  (Although if you care enough to buy nice glasses, shouldn't you care why?)

I've been busy.  Koplowicz.com is now hosting two new sites.

My computer was starting to get a little funky (the printer stopped working - totally not the printer's fault), and I had a brand new version of Ubuntu sitting right here, so I figured, what the heck.

A recent article from the Business Insider--which was reprinted in the SF Chronicle--claims a new storm's a-brewin' between the new heavyweights of Silicon Valley: Apple, Google, and Facebook.  Microsoft is dismissed as a has-been dinosaur.  Here's what's wrong with that entire argument.
