As some of you may already be aware I've set up a webcam for Nathan. I was using UStream, which seemed great - I was able to run it on Yelena's very old laptop, with my very old webcam, and it ran fine. Full screen video, sound, the works. For free. Finally!
The Senate just passed a bill allowing the FDA to regulate tobacco. Why am I so excited about this? Because it's the right thing to do.

Silly Me
I spent most of the day trying to find a Drupal plugin that would automatically send my blog posts to Facebook. I finally found one--Ping.fm--but it's clunky and woefully undocumented (at least in terms of Drupal integration). Then, after midnight, the elegant solution smacked me in the face.
Facebook has a built-in blog importer.
Maybe I should go to sleep now.

He Rolled Over!
Nathan rolled over for the first time today!
This would have been a big deal for any kid, but even moreso with Nathan, since he was born small and a month premature (IUGR - intra-uterine growth restricted). We've been working hard to get him to grow and the doctor says he's still only 25th percentile. That's a lot better than when he was born (3rd percentile) but still small. Also, even though he's been out of the whomb for five and a half months, his gestational age is only four months. We've been very conscious of this as we've watched him grow.

New Gallery: Swearing In
In case you haven't heard, I'm a lawyer now. Got sworn in last week. Hillariously, the ceremony was at the Oakland Convention Center, where I took the exam twice (passed the second time). I was expecting it to just be a formality, but it actually felt very meaningful when I was there. They had several federal judges and convened a session of the Federal Court for the Northern District of California. A US attorney made a motion to admit, and the clerk swore us in on the record. My wife and mom were there and I got to hold my son as I took the oath.
