One more thing I need to do: take the Attorney's Oath. I mulled various options
but I'm going with the "official" ceremony in Oakland. Hillariously, it's at
the Oakland Convention Center, where I took the exam twice (passed the second
time). Here are the details:

Google did something cute today.  I use Google Calendar as my own calendar (of course it syncs with my blackberry), and today I noticed they added something:

I recently blogged about a unique Civil War event on Alcatraz island.  "Civil War on Alcatraz?  But it was a federal prison in the 1960's."  Ah yes . . . but first it was a Civil War fort.  Yes, I took pictures.  See below.
