Sunny San Diego

My cousin-in-law Laurie is getting married in Long Beach tomorrow, so Yelena and I flew down to SD this afternoon.  It was nice to see the in-laws again (no really, it was!) and the weather was gorgeous (and they said it would rain!).

I was going to talk about some fun stories from the DA's office but I'm too tired now.  I think I'm going to just turn in.  The good news: I get to take a ton of pictures tomorrow!  Finally I'll have something new to put on the web site!

New hat! Certification!

I got suckered into buying a $50 hat. I've been wanting to make the move to fedoras for a while now so I went for it. It's actually not a fedora; it's a "hard felt." A quality fedora is at least two times as expensive (you can go up to $500 for a real quality hat). Anyway, this will do for now. What do you think? Like it? Hate it? Leave me a comment.

This is your brain on law school.

Any questions?

It's 3:20 am and I just finished a rough rough draft of my moot court brief. It's still missing a lot of stuff, I'll have a lot of details to fill in tomorrow. But the basic framework is there, and that's the most important part. I've been working on this thing for the last 16 hours. About an hour ago I realized I was arguing in the wrong direction and had to make a logical about-face. Anyway, the hard part is done. Tomorrow I can finish it up.
