My mom just called me from Hawaii. She was walking down a beach and noticed that it has a webcam, so I looked it up online. I was able to see and talk to my mom in realtime even though she's halfway around the world. Awesome.

Traditional Jewish greeting, meaning "May you have a peaceful and fulfilling Sabbath."  (Shalom is the Jewish word for peace, but it comes from the root "shalem," which means whole, complete, or fulfilled.)

Went to temple this morning.  Hadn't been in a while, it was nice to be back.  Ran into Prof. Marcia Cohen, who happens to be a teacher at Hastings (I learned torts and FDA law from her).  Also got to say Kadish (the mourner's prayer) for my grandfather.

My new website is up and running! The photo gallery is still pretty sparse, at least compared to the old one. But it's harder to upload now; it'll probably take a week until all my photos are up. If there's something you want to see, let me know!
