You know I'm pretty green. I don't mean in terms of being inexperienced and not getting what's going on, although that may also be true. I meant in terms of being environmentally friendly. My family diverts about 90% of our trash, and that includes the disposable diapers. (We even tried using compostable diapers.) So imagine my joy when I discovered this amazing new product. Just feast your eyes:

It's funny because it's true. Credit to Rob Lawton for this one.

The period in Western history after the Dark Ages but before the Enlightenment is known as the Renaissance because it was a rediscovering--or literally "rebirth"--of forms of art, technology, and philosophy that had generally been lost since ancient times. The implication in calling it a "Renaissance" is that it all already existed in the ancient world, and our society was not inventing new things but merely becoming aware once more. Of course, that's not entirely true. Music, art, theater and fashion were more advanced during the Renaissance than they had ever been during ancient times.

I've updated my contact info page. For reference, you can always find it at Koplowicz.com/contact. From that page, you can call, email, text, or IM me, or view my public calendar.

I forgot to add that the ads also bring enhanced functionality. That's what Yahoo said when they crammed ads into my email, and in their case the argument was that the increased revenue would allow them to spend more money on developing cool features. And yet, somehow, Gmail is still functionally better than Yahoo mail, and with far less obtrusive ads.

That's right, I've turned on the Google Ads. I have some trepidations about this and I've been putting it off for years. Here's why I finally did it.
First, I'm unemployed and this site gets 300-600 hits a month. I could use the money (but these days, who couldn't?).

I just got a statement from my credit card that they're changing my terms. Why? Because the Democrats passed the Credit Card Accountability, Responsibility and Disclosure Act. Some highlights:
- They can't raise my rate if I'm a few days late on my payment
- They can't charge me for going over my limit
- My payment date will always be the same and they have to send me a statement well ahead of time
Some people are fed up with politics and say there's no real difference between Democrat and Republican politicians. I disagree, and this is why.

Just when you thought you had a handle on Web 2.0, along comes the Cloud. Cloud computing sounds new but it's really old. Remember way back in the day when you went to the public library and they had those black-and-green computers to look up stuff in the book catalog? Well, cloud computing is basically just a return to that. Stuff isn't handled on your computer, it's handled elsewhere, and sent to you over the web. Do you use Gmail? Congratulations--that's cloud computing.
