Freudian slip comes to life. Hillariously.

Nathan became a Jew today. We hired Rabbi Shriebman to officiate. We first met him at High Holiday services and were very impressed. He's Reconstructionist, so his views on Judaism are slightly different from mine, but I find his approach to be very refreshing and modern. He finds ways of making you really feel the spirit of every part of the service. He recommended a mohel, Dr.

Baby came home from the hospital today. Today was hectic for another reason . . . ask me if you're curious. Anyway we got back to the hospital at 8:30 pm to discharge the little guy, and an hour later we were on our way home. Baby ate and went to sleep. It was a big new experience for him, seeing the outside world, but he handled it very well. It was little overwhelming for Mommy and Daddy too, but we're all doing great.

Another truth: few things are as good at cleaning an apartment as a new baby. I had to clear off the top of my dresser to make room for a changing pad, which means all the old paper on top of my dresser needs to be actually dealt with. Including the family recipe for carrot pudding. This isn't like the modern jell-o pudding you're used to; think more like traditional British bread pudding. It's almost like cake. Our family traditionally serves this on Thanksgiving and it usually steals the show. It's a desert item but we eat it with the main course for two reasons: (1) to make sure we

They're both doing well. Yelena will probably be discharged today (Monday). She's still sore but feels better every day and is in good spirits. Baby is still small. It's taking him a while to learn how to eat, and in fact most babies lose weight their first week. He seems to prefer sleeping, which won't help him grow. But he's slowly getting the hang of it so hopefully we'll see him start to gain weight soon. The hospital will probably hold on to him through the end of the week, but they may take him out of the incubator today or tomorrow, which is a good sign.

Compiz-Fusion is a composite window manager for Linux. It does this:
Way cooler than anything on Mac or Windows. Even cooler than the next version of Windows that isn't out for another year. (That's right, we already know.) And how easy is it to turn on?
Yeah, just like that. And it's built into Ubuntu, OpenSUSE, and most major distros.
Using the simple controls above are great to get started, but here are some quick tips for even more gorgeous effects.

According to Download.com, the 2nd most popular software is pirating software. The 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 8th, and 12th most popular programs are all things to protect you against the shady pirated software you just downloaded using #2.
The Multistate Bar Examination (MBE) doesn't think very highly of my friends. Margaret is guilty of battery and Harris is a crackhead.
