The Civil War in 4 Minutes

Another cool video

What else is new? Absolutely nothing. Just studying for the bar. For the next two months.

Holy cow.

My kid sister Amy is engaged.

She just called me from Israel to tell me the news. I approve--Chris is a good guy. I wish I knew him better but there's plenty of time for that.

I'm in shock; this is my kid sister. I remember when she learned to walk. And now she's engaged. Yelena points out that Amy is older than I was when I got engaged and I should get over it. I can no longer deny the fact that my little sister really is growing up.

Pretty new monitor

My father in law got me a 20" flatscreen monitor for graduation. I was sceptical at first but it's pretty sweet.

How to make public service videos interesting

Video Pub AIDES Baby Baby - Pub, Aides, Baby, Anim, Couple - Dailymotion Share Your Videos

The message: using a condom may get in the way of a good sex life, but it's worth waiting for Mr. Right.  Wonderful animation, very cute.

It's Over, Part II

Just walked out of my last final.  Ever.  It was Community Property, and most of the people in the room were graduating 3-L's.  We were pretty happy to be done.  I feel pretty good about the exam.  Probably won't win any awards, but I generally knew my stuff and I'll definitely pass.

Nerdier than thou

How many of you post on a forum every day?  (Not comments on a blog, not Digg, but a real threaded forum.)  How many of you administer your own forum?  How many of you are thinking of hosting your own forum?  How many of you want to compare the feature sets of several different forums to find the best one for you?  Anyone left?  OK, check it out:
ForumMatrix - Compare Them All

I should have a new blog category for "ridiculously, unbelievably nerdy."

Microsoft going to sue Linux?

I wish I'd known about this sooner.

Flashcard Exchange: The world's largest library of printable flash cards

They've got flashcards for most legal topics, as well as pretty much everything else you'd ever want flashcards for.  You can make your own, search for others, test yourself online, you don't need to download anything, and it's free.  Figures I wouldn't discover this until my very last final ever.

Anyway I found a California Community Property flash card deck so I'll be cramming that puppy for the next 48 hours.

Almost done . . .

Another hit

Credit to my friend Curtis for pointing this one out.  KT Tunstall.  Also from Scotland.  Check it out.

Yes, she's playing all the parts herself.  Setting the loops live, as she plays.  Here's another.

This is the most talented musician I've seen in a long time.  Holy cow.
